Engines that use a 2 piece thrust bearing without a dowell pin will need
to be manually aligned. This particular engine does have an alignment
dowell but I will go through the procedure anyway. The cap with the
thrust bearing should not be tight only lightly snug. Use something
to protect the snout of the crank and tap it sharply with a hammer a
few times.
